Jesus said, “You are my friends, if you do whatever I command you." (John 15:14)

A Little Something About Who We Are

The Friendsville Friends Meeting was established in 1808 as the Newberry Preparative Meeting. In 1875 the name was changed to Friendsville in order to make it the same as the Quarterly Meeting. The current meetinghouse was built from 1871 through 1878. In 1951, the white frame building was bricked, the inside totally refurbished, and an educational wing was added.

Our Meeting has deep historical roots, while continuing today in vital Christian service to God, each other & our community. The meeting has around 100 members with attendance at Sunday worship services averaging 50 members. We offer quiet individual, meditative worship; special music and inspirational messages from our Pastor, in a warm family atmosphere. In addition to Sunday School and other meeting opportunities, once each month we meet together for family night with carry in meal and entertaining special programs.
